Street parking has effectively disappeared from Kilimani, Westlands and Parklands, and Nairobi County charges for on-street bays where they exist. A dedicated, controlled bay is therefore both a security question and a daily-logistics one — most vehicle-related incidents tenants report happen in uncontrolled parking, not on the road.

What to ask the landlord

Confirm how many bays come with the unit, whether they are allocated or first-come, and whether they are in a controlled basement or on an open forecourt. Ask about visitor parking, because in dense Kilimani and Westlands blocks it is often nonexistent and your guests will end up on the street. Check the ramp gradient and turning circle if you drive anything large.
