UN relocation, on the posting clock
Gigiri arrivals give us a start date, not a wish list. We work backwards from it: commute measured to the UN complex, owner or representative identified, live walkthrough booked before the flight.

Tenant fees
No agent fees. Ever. You pay the owner or representative, never us.
What we actually are
We are not an estate agent and we do not hold keys. We inspect apartments, we confirm the person letting them is who they say they are, and then we put you in a WhatsApp thread with that person. Terms, deposit and rent are agreed between you and the owner or their appointed representative, never through us.
Homes, not hotel rooms.
Some interior images illustrate the finish standard our inspection checks against. Every live listing carries its own inspection photos.
Solutions for every stay
Eight kinds of stay, each with its own page, pricing context and matching notes.

What this actually looks like
Gigiri arrivals give us a start date, not a wish list. We work backwards from it: commute measured to the UN complex, owner or representative identified, live walkthrough booked before the flight.
Nobody should be asked to trust a stranger with a deposit on the strength of a photograph. We do the checking first, in person, before a listing is ever published, and again every 90 days after that.
You are eight time zones away and being asked for a deposit. We put you on live video with the person who owns the unit, and you pay them directly, never us, never a third party 'holding' it.
As it happens on WhatsApp
No portal login, no callback form. This is the shape of a real enquiry, from first message to owner or representative introduction.
Hi, 2 bedroom furnished in Westlands, budget around KES 180,000, moving in on the 1st. Is that realistic?
First message, 09:12
Realistic. Three verified blocks in that band, two walkable to Sarit. Sending the inspection notes and the owner's representative's name now.
Reply, 09:38
Happy to do a video walkthrough this evening. Deposit and rent come to me directly, nothing goes through anyone else.
Introduction, 10:04
Every owner or representative introduced in that thread has already passed the seven checks.
Three steps, one WhatsApp thread, no agent fees at any point. See the full process.
Step 1
Budget, bedrooms, area and move-in date. The whole brief fits in one screen.
Step 2
We come back with apartments that actually fit, and the owner or representative behind each one.
Step 3
Book a viewing or a live walkthrough, agree terms, pay the owner or representative directly.
Straight to the page
The long-tail searches people actually type, each one is a full page with pricing, local context and matching listings.
Why this works
Furnished, with water, power backup and fibre checked in person on inspection.
Monthly stays, direct with the owner or their appointed representative. You agree the lease with the owner, not with us.
A human on WhatsApp, not a form. Verified owners and representatives typically reply in ~30 minutes.
Connect directly with the owner or their appointed representative.
Built for stays of 30+ days.
For landlords
UN staff, consultants, relocating families and returning diaspora. They stay longer, they pay on time, and they treat a home like one. You keep 100% of the rent, you agree the lease directly, and we never take a cut.
No listing fee, no exclusivity, no commission on the lease.
The inspector's ledger
Rental scams are the single biggest reason Nairobi tenants distrust online listings. This is the process every listing passes before it goes live, and repeats every 90 days.
Verified before we introduce anyone
Owners pass all seven. Appointed representatives pass the same seven, and must additionally show a signed management mandate, letter of authority or power of attorney alongside the owner’s ID or company registration.
01. Representative ID & Authority verified
We confirm the owner, or the representative they have appointed, is a real, identifiable person or registered company, and that a representative holds written authority to let the unit.
02. Proof of ownership OR legal authority
Title deed, allotment letter or a lease that grants the right to sublet. No document, no listing.
If the lister is an appointed representative (e.g., property manager), we verify their signed management mandate or power of attorney, alongside the actual owner's ID.
03. Photo verification
Photos must match the actual unit. We request date-stamped images and compare them against inspection.
We ask for the image metadata, not just the picture. If the date on the file predates the listing, or the room does not match what our inspector walked through, the listing does not go live.
04. Price validation
Rent is cross-checked against Knight Frank, HassConsult and Cytonn market ranges for that neighbourhood and type.
05. Physical inspection
A member of our team visits the property, checks water, power backup, security and finish.
06. Tenant references
Where a previous tenant exists, we ask them directly about the owner or representative and the unit.
07. Re-verification every 90 days
Listings that fail re-verification are removed within 24 hours. Freshness is part of the check.
What "verified finish" looks like on the contact sheet
Warm light, real furniture
Nothing staged, nothing rented in for the shoot.
A desk you can work at
Checked with the fibre speed test on the same visit.
A kitchen that works
Tap run, borehole yield and tank size noted on site.
Some interior images illustrate the finish standard our inspection checks against. Every live listing carries its own inspection photos.
The line we do not cross
We are a matching service. We connect you directly with verified property owners and their appointed representatives. You deal with them, you view with them, and you pay them. We never hold your money, we never sign your lease, and we never manage or let property on anyone's behalf. We earn from owners and their representatives, not from tenants. No tenant fees. Ever.
This positioning is deliberate: under Kenya's Estate Agents Act (Cap 533), a pure introduction and matching service is not an estate agency practice. If anyone contacts you claiming to hold keys or take a deposit on our behalf, that is not us, report it to us immediately.
Many premium properties in Nairobi are managed by appointed representatives or property managers. We verify their legal mandate to lease the property. However, our rule remains absolute: NO tenant fees. If an appointed representative attempts to charge you a viewing fee, a matching fee, or a tenant commission for a lead generated through our platform, report them to us immediately and they will be permanently removed from our index.
In their words
"I sent one WhatsApp message with my budget and Gigiri as my area. Three options came back the same afternoon, and I dealt with the owner's representative directly. No agent, no 'viewing fee'."
"We were terrified of paying a deposit to someone we'd never met. Being able to see who owned the place, and to talk to them on WhatsApp before flying, was the whole difference."
"Serviced one-bedroom, walking distance to the office, sorted in two days. The price they quoted matched the market ranges they publish, which is not something I expected."
Why we built this
Nairobi rents in advance to strangers on WhatsApp. Deposits move before anyone has seen a title deed, a meter or a face. We thought that deserved a process.
The Furnished Apartments Nairobi Team
From the guides
Roughly KES 85,000-180,000 for a furnished one-bedroom in Westlands or Kilimani, KES 180,000-320,000 for a two-bedroom in those areas, and KES 250,000-450,000 for a three-bedroom in Karen. Satellite areas such as Ruaka, Syokimau and Rongai run substantially lower. Ranges are drawn from Knight Frank Kenya, HassConsult and Cytonn market reporting.
No. We never charge tenants a matching fee, a viewing fee or a commission. We are paid by the owners and representatives who list with us. You pay rent and deposit directly to them, never to us.
No. We are a matching and introduction service. We do not manage, lease or let property, we do not hold deposits and we do not sign leases. Under Kenya's Estate Agents Act (Cap 533) a pure introduction service is not estate agency practice.
Never pay a deposit before physically viewing the unit or doing a live video walkthrough. Confirm the owner or representative's ID, their proof of ownership, and, for a representative, their letter of authority. Never send money to a third party 'holding' the property. Every listing marked Verified on this site goes through 7-point verification before going live and is re-verified every 90 days. Listings shown as 'not yet verified' are aggregated from public sources and can be verified on request before any introduction.
Yes. We arrange live video walkthroughs with the owner or their appointed representative so you can see the actual unit and ask questions in real time, then you deal with them directly on terms. This is how most of our diaspora and UN relocation enquiries run.

Looking for a home
Answer a handful of questions and we come back on WhatsApp with apartments that fit your budget, your area and your move-in date. You then deal with the owner or their appointed representative directly.
Own the apartment
We verify the unit once, publish it, and send tenants straight to your WhatsApp. No commission on your lease, no exclusivity, no keys handed over.
Price ranges on this site are compiled from Knight Frank Kenya market reporting, the HassConsult Property Index, Cytonn Real Estate research and verified landlord submissions. These are ranges, not guarantees. Confirm current pricing with the owner or their representative.
